Clashes Continue between Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and Myanmar Tatmadaw (MT)

     On September 24, a head-on battle took place from 0700 to 0900 hours, between the TNLA and the MT troops, near Kone-mon village of Man-tong Township, Brigade-1 Area, Ta’ang Region.

The battle took place as a result of the MT troops came for offensive, into the TNLA operational area. It was an area where clashes often took place between the TNLA and RCSS troops.

Clashes Continue between TNLA and RCSS Troops

September 25, 2016

     On September 24, a ferocious battle took place between the TNLA and RCSS troops, coming toward the TNLA position for offensive, from 1000 to 1900 hours, near Man-mein village of Man-tong Township in Brigade-1 Area, Ta’ang Region.

The head-on battle took place as the RCSS force, coming from the side of Namtu Township, in an attempt to commit aggression and enter again in the operational area of the TNLA.

Two Clashes between TNLA and MT Troops, 5 MT Troops Killed

September 22, 2016

     Two clashes took place in one day in Namt-san Township, Brigade-2 Area, Ta’ang Region. Clashes took place at 0400 hours at a place between Ar-ram and Pan-kya-rawt villages, and at 1110 hours at a place between Ho-namt and Pan-kya-rawt villages respectively.

     Five were killed on the MT side in the battles. On September 19, the MT troops conducting a dragnet operation attacked the TNLA detention place situated between Hu-kin and Ho-main villages, where the drug traffickers were kept. In the attack two TNLA soldiers had to give up their lives. The MT troops took away with them the drug offenders. Head-on battles took place when the TNLA troops came face to face with the MT troops, while they were blocking and searching for the escaped drug offenders.
