Statement No. (4/2015)
March 10, 2015

We denounce absolutely Myanmar government’s violent acts of force and beating in cracking down the students’ peaceful movements for democratic education, in various regions.

Instead of peaceful consultation to settle the issue of the striking students, who were demanding for making the entire people’s future education to be in line with the democratic norms and progress, the use of violent crackdown by the government made
it clear that it does not really have the desire for democratic transformation.

Brutal and violent suppression of the ethnic nationalities, students and Buddhist monks’ movements, arising as a result of injustices and oppressions happening in the country of Myanmar, means stamping on Myanmar country into a failed state.

We, the Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF/TNLA) support and approve fully the democratic education movement, led by the Leading Committee for Democratic Education Movement, Nationwide Network for Education Reform (NNER) and the Students and Youths.

We, the PSLF/TNLA, earnestly encourage and call on the ethnic nationalities, all the people and parents of the students, in various regions and states, to struggle on with unity, until victory is achieved.
